Evidence-Based Practices
When a child loses a parent to incarceration, they may experience significant emotional and psychological trauma. As a result, mental health services are a critical component of our program model.
Children enrolled in our after-school program and their families are all eligible to receive therapeutic support services through our Children of Promise Wellness Group, which include trauma-informed and evidence-based practices.
Licensed
Supportive social workers, creative arts therapists, mental health counselors, and psychiatrists are part of our Children of Promise Wellness Group.
EXPERT CARE
A dedicated team of licensed professionals who work closely with our families to provide holistic care centered on healing and emotional wellness.
5 Days a week
Supportive therapeutic services are provided on-site and virtually 5 days a week by mental health professionals.
Our model is inclusive, supportive, creative, anti-oppressive, healing, guided by the narratives of those individuals with lived experience of being directly impacted by systems of mass incarceration. Our creative and artistic clinical home offers the children an open and expressive space to share about trauma, loss, grief, depression, anxiety, and fear without any worry that they will be judged for what they are going through.
