Executive Board
Board members are the fiduciaries who steer the organization towards a sustainable future by adopting sound, ethical, and legal governance and financial management policies, as well as making sure the nonprofit has adequate resources to advance its mission. A qualified applicant to join the CPNYC Board of Directors must exhibit:
a passion for senior leadership
an innovative mindset
deep investment in furthering CPNYC’s mission
dedication to introducing new partnerships to the CPNYC community
Potential candidates must have accumulated a wealth of leadership and governance experience through an accounting, finance, fundraising, human resources, organizational development, program development, or real estate background.
The Commitment
One year term with possibility for renewal
Attendance at quarterly meetings
Abides by all applicable agency laws and acts in accordance with ethical practices
Generates financial, programmatic and strategic ideas that furthers CPNYC’s success
Give-Or-Get Goal*: $5,000 per year
*A Give-Or-Get goal refers to a responsibility to either raise yourself, or bring others (friends, family, coworkers, team members, etc.) to contribute $5,000 to CPNYC by year end.
