In order to fully meet the needs of the children we serve, staff engages families across the spectrum of Children of Promise’s services. Embedded in Children of Promise’s program model is the necessity and encouragement of parental participation and input in each participant’s path to healing and success. Caregivers inform the services that allow for children to grow through the after school and wellness center programs.
TRANSPARENCY
We keep caregivers abreast of the progress children make from day to day in after school and through our mental health programs.
CONNECTION
Our model also reinforces the preservation of familial bonds by connecting children and their families with their incarcerated loved ones.
FAMILY BONDING
We encourage family communication through personally written letters, pictures, and poems mailed out monthly.
